Here are a few natural shaving tips for a smoother, more comfortable shave:

1. Exfoliate: before you start shaving, take a few minutes to gently exfoliate your skin. This removes dead skin cells and helps to prevent ingrown hairs. Look for a natural exfoliating scrub that contains ingredients like jojoba beads or finely ground almonds. Our scrub made from coffee is also a great option as well as our Cocoa scrub or our Matcha oat scrub!

2. Warm Water: a warm shower or face wash helps to soften your beard hairs and open up your pores, making shaving easier and less irritating.

3. Lather Up: a good natural shaving cream or gel is essential for a smooth shave. Look for a natural formula that contains soothing ingredients like aloe vera or chamomile. We recommend avoiding harsh chemicals and artificial fragrances, which can irritate sensitive skin.

4. Shave with the Grain: shave in the direction your hair grows to reduce irritation. If you need a closer shave, you can shave against the grain after your first pass, but be careful not to go over the same area multiple times.

5. Use a Sharp Razor: a dull razor can tug and pull on your skin, causing irritation and ingrown hairs. Replace your razor blades regularly and consider using a safety razor with replaceable blades for a smoother, more comfortable shave.

6. Cool Rinse: after shaving, rinse your face with cold water to close your pores and reduce redness.

7. Moisturize: Finish off with a natural aftershave moisturizer to soothe and protect your skin. Look for a moisturizer that contains ingredients like aloe vera, shea butter, or jojoba oil.

These simple tips can help you achieve a smoother, more comfortable eco-friendly shave that leaves your skin feeling healthy and refreshed.
